In February, Hulme based music collective Single Cell, released their debut compilation, Six Rivers. Featuring OpenSpace member Jonathan Atkinson, the album includes contributions from over 18 local artists and musicians.

The title is a reference to the underground rivers of Manchester and echos Single Cell's intention to reveal hidden aspects of life in the city. A limited edition of the album can be purchased online but for those who just want to hear the music there is a free download available from the collective's website.
