OpenSpace members and tenants are working hard!

From book launches to chatting up venture capitalists, this is what everyone is up to besides all the exciting Coop developments:

Dave Dawes of Entrepenurses has been out on the road .... running workshops for the NHS and talking to venture capitalists. Keep smiling Dave and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Luke and Finn at Ecobee are building a bunch of Drupal stuff, including an image repository about the Arms Trade, and a website for a collection of health practices in Salford. Their blog was last updated in June 2008 (these boys are busy, busy, busy), but they find time for proper work and have just add a new server to increase capacity over at Ecohost, their wind-powered web hosting business.

Our resident journalist Helen Clifton is ... on holiday in Spain with the girls.

Sarah Irving hasn't gone to Syria to study arabic owing to visa difficulties, but continues to be a prolific writer across all sorts of platforms, and has a couple of books to deliver this autumn.

Michael Wignall of Streamengine has finished a 19-page marketing plan for Ethical Consumer and Polyp's new 'Speechless' website, and is now spending most of his time in the naughty corner doing detailed keyword research for a couple of hush-hush new business websites, while finding enough time to make monkeys out of Ladbrokes.

Polyp is in a frenzy planning the launch of his new book 'Speechless: a cartoon history of the World' at Sand Bar at 8pm on 7th August (all welcome), organising activities for the Peterloo Memorial anniversary on 16th August, and talking about the Moon landings at the Museum of Science and Industry.

Proper Job Theatre Company are taking a quick breather after a production of Romeo & Juliet, and preparing for the next academic year. Amongst other things they'll be working with school students in Kirklees on a Sexual Health project - you can see the film for that here and running various drama workshops. Their year will end with a new production of 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' in Halifax.

Jonathan, Hanna and Anna are keeping the cards close to their chests.
